Yes I’m sixty but I don’t care
I’ve still got my teeth and some of my hair
Tell a joke if you dare
But my wife still thinks I’m cute in my underwear
In the shower I can still see my feet
In my body I can still feel the heat
I smile at the pretty girls I meet
But when I get on the bus they just give me their seats
But I don’t have to go to work no more
Gonna sell my suit in the second hand store
Don’t have to smile and say please
Cos now I’m 60 I am free
And I don’t have to take the tube today
Don’t have to finish the crossword again
No need to get down on my knees
Cos now I’m 60 I’m free
Cos now I’m 60 I am me

I know a girl with long brown hair
She thinks she’s blonde but I don’t care
Took her to a party to have some fun
Told her she’d missed last bus home
She came back to stay the night
It took me a week to walk upright
She was a girl from Wallonie
She put whisky in her tea
She drank her beer from a bottle
She counted up to four
Then she threw me to the floor
I’m never gonna forget her
She keeps dancing shoes in her handbag
She puts them on in the taxi cab
But her feet are cold when she gets into bed
So she warms them on the TV set
Only goes to sleep at four o’clock
Never opens her eyes when she wakes up
She thinks the world is flat
Cos she’s always on her back
I’m never gonna forget her
We got married in the local Town Hall
Everybody there had such a ball
She kissed me quick and squeezed me slowly
Wrapped me up like ravioli
Got her to the hotel to hold her tight
But her dog was there and he barked all night
Her welly boots are red
But she takes them off in bed
I’m never going to forget her

It was a beautiful day when you went away The sky was blue the last time I saw you You were ying through the air
Finally without a care
And I miss you for the rest of my life And I miss you but I'll say it's alright Even though you never knew
Who was the one who loved you
I miss you for the rest of my life
You used to go for a walk with your walking frame Then one day you fell down and never walked again You took the paper to read the news
Then one day your hands they wouldn't move
Every day you asked to go home
I held your hand as I told you no Then your worst dream came true Being fed by a stranger with a spoon
And you remember his last smile
And he waited for you all that while
Now united you're gone it's just earth and a stone But I'm still here now it's me who's alone
And I miss you
For the rest of my life

Holidays - En vacances
02:50
|
|||
I got blisters on my feet, sunburn on my nose Every night I have a little drink,
Until I’m comatose
The girl in the sunbed next to me,
Just painted her toenails blue
And I’ve read the latest pulp ction, cos there’s So many things to do. On holiday.
Gonna meet the girl of my dreams, In a disco at Club Med
Gonna use my favourite chat up line, “My room’s got a double bed”
Now all my friends have found someone,
I can’t stand this peer group pressure Maybe a banana in my pocket, would make A good impression. On holiday.
The morning after the night before,
Is always a little bit strange
The girl who seems to be sharing my bed, Also knows my name
I remember asking the waiter,
For another large Mai Tai
Now my banana lies on the table,
But there’s no banana inside.
It’s holidays.
Now it’s time to go back home, Start looking for my Wheezy-Jet
24 hours later, well it hasn’t left yet Sometime later on that week,
We touch down at Stansted
Then my car gets a at tyre,
Next year I’m going to stay in bed For my holidays. Holidays.
Vacances.

I got a story gonna tell you it all
I met a girl in the media store
I didn’t know it was gonna be love but Oh Lord above
She was sitting there at the table
I reached out and touched her shiny smooth skin She said that she was very able
Well I didn’t know where to begin
So I just whispered hullo
And she answered in a voice oh so mellow She was so slim and serene
And she told me her name was Eileen
She said that I could turn her around From side to side and upside down She said she could go really fast
And that our love would last
Eileen, Eileen, Eileen, Eileen,
You are the star of my silver screen Eileen, Eileen, Eileen, Eileen,
You know what I mean
Eileen, Eileen, Eileen, Eileen,
I’m never ever gonna be sad Eileen, Eileen, Eileen, Eileen,
I’m so glad you're my new iPad...
Eileen, Eileen, Eileen, Eileen,
Eileen, Eileen, Eileen, Eileen,
Tu sais ce que je veux dire
Eileen, Eileen, Eileen, Eileen,
Je ne serai plus jamais triste
Eileen, Eileen, Eileen, Eileen,

Yeah I'm sitting here thinking ‘bout Drinking a bottle of beer.
But I ain't got no money
So just gonna sit in my chair
Yeah I'm sitting here thinking ‘bout Kissing a beautiful woman.
But I ain't got no girlfriend
So just gonna lie in the sun
Yeah I’m a lazy man and I ain’t got nothin’ to do Yeah I'm a lazy man and
I’m singing a lazy man’s blues
Yeah I'm a lazy man but watch out
I’m gonna catch you
Yeah I'm sitting here thinking about
Goin' for a ride in my car
But I ain't got no gas so not gonna go very far
Yeah I’m a lazy man how do you do? Yeah I'm a lazy man
But I can make tea for two
Yeah I'm a lazy man but watch out I’m gonna catch you
Yeah I'm sitting here thinking that
One day I’m gonna die
But it’s so damn hard work that I’m not gonna try
Yeah I’m a lazy man but I’m gonna chase after you I'm a lazy man but watch out
“I’m gonna catch you”

The impression that you left on my bed
Will always stay inside my head
Your broken smile wrapped in a long white bag Your name written on a small plastic tag
You came a long way and
I know you really tried
But every morning
There was no place to hide
You took a train down to the sea Never again to think of me
“Smiles were falling from my face
I tried to catch them but they vanished
With no trace
My loneliness surrounded me
Like a cold embrace
As every step I took was just another mistake”
The Winter of 1981
Will always leave me deaf, blind and dumb They asked me if I knew who you were
As if I wasn’t really sure
“And if I could have found a way
I know I would have stayed
But tomorrow was just another day”
And I still miss your gentle ways
Tu as parcouru un long chemin et
Et tes manières douces encore me manquent

Too many tears, too many lies
To keep this hope up you light a re You run like a hare to save your soul Hanging on to this desire
Please stay my friend
I had a good time
You played the game to nd a home Throwing the dice through the wind Now follow the ints and take my hand You will see re ies on your way
Please stay my friend I had a good time
Please stay my friend We’ll have a good time

long time.If I had my time again
I would do it all again
But this time I would do it all with you
If I had my dreams again
I would dream them all again
But this time I would dream them all of you Of you
Sometimes I know I drive too slow
And I forget which way to go
And I don’t listen to what you say But I’d never change a single day
And if I had my tears again
I would cry them all again
But this time I would cry them all for you
And when I get to the end
With one last day to spend
Then I want to spend that day with you With you
Sometimes you make me think of the open road
And all the places I could go
But I’ve been everywhere I wanna be
So what’s wrong with just you and me
Never change a single day
Parfois tu me fais penser à la route ouverte

Playing my guitar in the back seat of my car Thinking about a girl I used to know
She had buttons right down to her knees and She showed me all the places I could go
She brought me tea and breakfast TV
Lying in her little bed settee
She ironed my shirt on the sheets where she lay So she could stay with me all day
Oh Maybelline you know the grass is green Life’s so easy
The sky is blue, I love you
And a dog can save the Queen
Oh Maybelline please smile for me It’s the best thing I’ve ever seen And I’m sorry I can’t change a thing What you see is me
Oh Maybelline you’re still the girl of my dreams And you’ll always be my Beauty Queen.

She’d been to the of ce party Waiting for the Northern Line
The station turned around slowly
As she clung on to her bottle of wine She’d had a good time
As she sat on everyone’s knee But when she sang Karaoke “My boyfriend left without me
And the man in the station is smiling at me Perhaps I’m gonna be lucky
I hope my hair is tied back nicely
And he doesn’t see the stain on my sleeve”
She danced in her stilettos
With the boy from the of ce next door But when she stepped right on his toe “He wouldn’t dance with me anymore” So she sat down in the corner Watching her Tequila Sunrise
Then her head gently hit the table
As she slowly closed her eyes
“And the man in the station is smiling at me Perhaps I’m gonna be lucky
Gotta make him see that I’m fancy and free Without getting down on my knees
And now he’s walking up to me His uniform is so sexy
I know he’s going to ask me out Must remember not to shout
So I turn around and smile at him
Try him with my real cute grin
Must think of something clever to say Like ‘Can I make your day?’
He starts to speak and I taste champagne
I hold his hand, we’re in the fast lane”
But Madam “he says” I’m only here to explain You’ve just missed the last train
